Coaching can help you step by step, break down the bigger picture into manageable chunks

About Me

Prior to coaching, I was a passionate secondary school teacher for 18 years and Head of a successful Creative Arts Faculty and Middle Manager. I like to paint and draw and many moons ago, I was a textile designer. All the Arts continue to play an vital role for me, as they embrace self expression, diversity and curiosity, whilst pushing the boundaries and questioning everything.

My heart remains in learning and being a life long learner. Fostering a growth mindset, opens so many doors and adventure. For me it all begins with remaining curious and being happy in not knowing all the answers.

Family and friends are my life line, as is being outdoors, in nature. I made a big transition, when I left London and teaching. It was a conscious decision to slow down and appreciate the small everyday things.

I first came across coaching as an approach to lead my team back in 2011, on a training day for Leadership in Education. I immediately found the approach to be the most effective way to lead and develop my team. A decade later, I decided to retrain. I continue to work with educators and young people. Through open communication, awareness and self responsibility, we explore together the importance of personal development. To empower confidence and motivation to unlock potential for personal and professional success.

Personal Development and fostering a growth mindset are at the core of my coaching practice. I am also a Dyslexia Aware Coach, a topic I hold dear. I was diagnosed with dyslexia at 26, this felt like a late diagnosis to me but a huge relief at the same time. Coaching is a tremedous tool to support dyslexics to tackle challenges and barriers, shift old habits and identify strengths and unique abilities.

As an accredited Personal, Performance, Life Coach, trained by The Coaching Academy, my qualifications are recognised by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and  Association for Coaching (AC). I am also a Partner Coach with 'Careering into Motherhood' and an Associate Coach with 'Coaches in Kind'. I am highly professional, show integrity and authenticity in my work and adhere to the ICF Code of Ethics.
